Horrible trigger, No bang when expected. June 21, 2014
Reviewer: Dan Z. from , Texas
This trigger has a significant delay in releasing the hammer after the trigger has been pulled.  It is pull, wait, wait, wait... bang. I pulled it and put a mil-spec in the CMMG .308.  Too many other good choices.

Two Stage Trigger December 28, 2013
Reviewer: Rich from Brookfield, WI United States
Ordered this trigger from sportsman guide with discount coupon. Not worth the money even then. 6&1/2 POUND PULL . Way too much. The Rock River two stage came in just over 5 pounds, smooth, no where near as much creep and slap.

Worse Than Terrible June 3, 2013
Reviewer: Unhappy Camper from Stamford, CT United States
Read reviews and 1/2 said they were great and 1/2 said they are terrible.I took a gamble. The pull SUPER heavy, gritty, CREEPY. It would push your finger forward after let off in order to reset itself AKA: trigger slap.I called CMMG and they told me to send it back(at my own expense. Good turn around time.Came back with note saying they installed a new disconnect spring and the pull now measured 5 LB 5 OZ. A definite improvement(anything would have been),but still way worse than a stock trigger. Still lots of creep and did not break cleanly at all. Why spend a ton of extra money to install a trigger inferior to a stock trigger?? CMMG lower parts are nice quality. How in the world did they come out with this trigger, and how did mine leave their factory with a 250 LB pull? I bought it new, but sold it for way less than I paid for it. I would buy their stock lower parts kit again, but not recommend this trigger to anyone except maybe my worst enemy.

Very unhappy at first April 3, 2013
Reviewer: John Cooney from Catawissa, MO United States
When I got this trigger it still had a coating on the sear surfaces and gave a 10# + gritty pull.  I sent it back to CMMG and when I got it back it looked like someone had taken a Dremel to the trigger.  The total pull is 6.3 pounds and still is VERY gritty and long.  The reset is long and sometimes feels like it isn't going to reset at all. I do NOT recommend this trigger!

I got home this afternoon and there was a package from CMMG in my mailbox.  Like the first one, it has a coating on the sear mating surfaces.  I installed it anyway and checked the pull weights.  The first stage is 2.4 pounds with a second stage taking it to 6.5 pounds.  The trigger is MUCH smoother than the first one and the "fixed" one.  The break is clean with very little creep and not a lot of overtravel.  The reset is about .3" and strong.  In fairness, CMMG does not list a trigger pull for this trigger, so that was just my expectation.

My thanks to CMMG for sending this new one even though I didn't ask.
